Christian Sorteberg My name is Christian Sorteberg and I am a senior aerospace engineering student. I love to travel - I go to Denmark every year to visit family, I spent a month in Southeast Asia over the summer, and I spent a semester abroad in Manchester. I also enjoy playing soccer; I am on the UMD club soccer team and a less competitive intramural team with my friends (we're always looking for new players, so let me know if you're interested!). I also like to play golf, volleyball and tennis.

Joyce Du

Hi, I'm Joyce, a first-year master's student in Second Language Acquisition. Born and raised in Taiwan, I studied abroad in South Korea for one-year as a junior in college. I understand how the anxiety of being in a new, foreign environment could affect one's both academic and social life, and I'm willing to help you go through this major life transition. We can talk about tips to start networking, to get support from school offices, and to find useful resources on campus. See you soon in the upcoming orientation!
