
Dr. Bianchini is the author of "The Queen's Hand: Power and Authority in the Reign of Berenguela of Castile" (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2012). She is a Fulbright fellow (2004-2005) and a member of the Medieval Academy of America, the Association for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies, the American Academy of Research Historians of Medieval Spain, and the American Historical Association. Her current research is on royal women's share in crown property in the twelfth-century kingdoms of Castile and León.
