
We are interested in retail food contamination with pathogens, particularly Echerichia coli, Campylobacter spp. and Salmonella serovars, and are investigating virulence properties and antibiotic resistance of foodborne pathogens, mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and resistance gene transfer. We are also interested in novel technologies for detecting and subtyping foodborne pathogens.
