
Jorge Aguilar Mora is a Professor Emeritus of Latin American literature at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Maryland, College Park. The author of three novels, including several books of poetry, and numerous book-length essays- on the Mexican Revolution, Octavio Paz, and other subjects- his most recent book, Sueños de la Razón, uses the crónica genre to reflect on the culture, thought, technology, and politics that characterized the threshold of the 19th century in Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
