I teach courses on immigration, and Latino and Latin American society and culture. I have participated in several international organizations, such as the International Division of Community Medicine (Mt. Sinai School of Medicine) and Paho. I have worked in Argentina, Spain, Japan, Venezuela, Uruguay and Guatemala. Recent publications include "Growing Old in El Barrio", and "Memorias de Villa Clara. I held a Fulbright Award. I teach a Study Abroad course in Argentina.
