A colorful city with a mountain
The course explores how sustainable practices have achieved a carbon-neutral footprint in Costa Rica. We will examine the marketing strategy and tactics of local companies and multinational enterprises across a range of industries including agriculture, energy, and ecotourism. Costa Rica is uniquely positioned for a short-term study abroad immersion experience. San Jose is a contemporary city with several Fortune 100 companies like HP, Proctor and Gamble, Amazon, Dole, and Boston Scientific operating here. Ecotourism thrives in Costa Rica as visitors explore the quarter of the country dedicated to national parks and a country home to six percent of the world’s biodiversity. The country, approximately the size of West Virginia, is easily traversed with modern infrastructure.
