Study Abroad Photo Competition

Calling all 2022-2023 study abroad returnees!

Are you interested in sharing your study abroad pictures with other UMD students? Do you think your amazing photos from your time abroad might inspire future study abroad students? Would you like to be featured on our new website coming this fall? Would you like a chance to win a $100 Terrapin Express gift card? Join our Photo Contest!

You can submit photos for a chance to win in three different categories, including:

UMD Spirit Abroad (show us in your Maryland gear or with your UMD community)
"Study" in study abroad (show us your host campus, exciting academic experiences, excursions, etc)
The world is your classroom (show us how you explored your host community through food, historic sites, scenery, local people, etc)

Submit photos HERE by September 29.

Education Abroad staff will select one winner from each category to participate in a community vote on Instagram (@GlobalMaryland). The grand prize winner will receive a $100 Terrapin Express gift card, and the two runner-ups will receive $50 Terrapin Express gift cards.

Multiple entries are accepted, but each submission must be a unique photo. Please do not submit the same photo in multiple categories. Students must have studied abroad with a UMD program at any point from Fall 2022 through Summer 2023 to be considered for this competition (short-term programs are included).
