UMD: A Globally Connected University


There are a wide variety of dining options available in the College Park area and in the larger Washington DC metropolitan area.

On-Campus Dining
There are a number of on-campus dining options, including two dining halls, two full-service restaurants, a food court in the Stamp Student Union, the Maryland Co-Op (providing vegetarian and other healthy options), and several cafes and coffee shops.

College Park Dining
There are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the University of Maryland. Most of them are located just south of campus on Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue).  ShopCollegePark, Trip Advisor, and Yelp are some of the websites that list and rate the many restaurant options in College Park.

DC Metro Area Dining
The DC Metro area, including Washington DC as well as suburban Maryland and Virginia, offers a very wide variety of dining experiences. The Washington Post's online CityGuide provides useful information about the many dining option in the DC area.  Additionally, the online Washington CityPaper offers a searchable guide to Washington-area restaurants. The online Washingtonian also provides a searchable dining guide.
