Fall 2021 Updates and Vaccine Info for International Students & Faculty
Aug. 11, 2021
As we prepare for the Fall 2021 semester and to come back together for the first time since we went remote due to COVID-19, it is time to think about what information our international students and faculty will need to settle into campus.
Current COVID-19 requirements for campus are always available for the international community on the University Health Center website: Important Vaccine Information for Students Arriving from Outside the United States. The requirements on this page apply to newly arriving faculty from overseas destinations as well as students.

Mask Reminder
Prince George’s County will reinstitute an indoor public mask mandate, effective at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, due to a rise in COVID-19 cases; it applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
In compliance and coordination with public health guidance, COVID-19 data and the county mandate, the University of Maryland will require masks to be worn indoors by all, regardless of vaccination status. For unvaccinated individuals, masks are also required while outdoors in crowded spaces. Review the masking announcement from President Pines and the Health Center for more details.
