Yes, if you’d like to co-sponsor an event with our office, please contact Joe Scholten, OIA associate director.
If you are planning to invite a high-level diplomat to campus, we want to be involved. Be a part of our Maryland Global Leaders Lecture Series, which brings ambassadors, other international community leaders, and prominent visitors to College Park to share their perspectives on vital global challenges and opportunities for international cooperation and global development.
How do I get funding for an international project?
The Office of International Affairs has several opportunities available for funding through its own programs and Universitas 21, as well as information on external grants you may be interested in, such as Fulbright.
How do I create an international agreement?
In order to establish a global partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must be created between UMD and the partner institution. Learn more about creating an MOU.
An MOU is normally accompanied—or followed soon—by a detailed programmatic agreement, such as a student exchange or joint degree program. Learn more about the types of programmatic agreements UMD has with international partners.
