Considering filing for premium processing for an OPT application? U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced a final rule that will increase the filing fee for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, to adjust for inflation. The fee change will go into effect on Feb. 26, 2024.

Be aware of scams targeting international students and scholars. Some UMD students have reported receiving calls or emails that their immigration status is at risk and they must pay a fee/fine to avoid being deported. These are scams!
