Global Terps

Show us what it means to be a Global Terp!

Our students at UMD and around the world are participating in cross-cultural exchange. Whether you are studying abroad, coming to campus as an international student or taking a Global Classrooms course this spring–you are gaining vital skills only achievable through global learning. Help share what it means to be a Global Terp!

Host a takeover on the Maryland Global (@maryland.global) Instagram page and share a day-in-the-life of a Global Terp! Maybe you are meeting up with a language partner, seeing a baseball game with other exchange students or volunteering in our College Park community…show us how you study, explore and give back as a Global Terp!

After you complete your takeover, you will be entered into our raffle for one of three $50 gift cards at the end of the semester. This semester’s raffle will take place on May 10 and include takeovers between March 1-May 8, 2024.

All students engaged in global learning at UMD are invited to participate. Please review the Office of International Affairs’s Social Media Guidelines & Expectations prior to participation.

Questions? Email oiacomms@umd.edu.

We can't wait to see what you come up with!
