Carly A. Park

Carly Park joined the ISSS Faculty & Scholar Team in the summer of 2023 as a program specialist. Ms. Park obtained her B.S. in communications with a focus on public relations from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In May of 2023, she earned her M.A. in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Before joining the ISSS team, Carly worked as a graduate assistant for the Office of International Education at IUP where she was responsible for assisting students and scholars with their integration into the community. Her organization skills, programming ideas and activities now help provide a safe space for our international population to enjoy their time at UMD. When Carly is not assisting the team, she loves to watch cooking shows or play video games on her Nintendo Switch. Sharing food is one of her favorite ways to embrace culture, so she hopes to learn about some of the scholars’ favorite recipes from back home to hopefully try herself one day!
