Jody is the primary designated school officer (PDSO) for International Student & Scholar Services and is responsible for university compliance for the F-1 student program. She oversees both the pre-arrival and current student teams. She has a love for travel and has visited over 30 countries. Her longest time abroad was spent in Nepal where she lived and conducted research on the topic of "Women Pursuing Higher Education in Nepal." She enjoys meeting students from all over the world. She understands the adjustment process to a new place can be overwhelming and is invested in helping international students find the resources and support they need to thrive at UMD.
