He/His

Kyle directs the development and implementation of Education Abroad’s Maryland-in, Maryland-led, exchange, affiliate, and other approved global learning programs. He collaborates with UMD’s academic colleges and departments in support of Global Learning for All, working to provide pathways towards global opportunities for every Terp. Recognizing the important outcomes global learning can have on a young person, Kyle is dedicated to overcoming traditional barriers facing education abroad participation by building diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) practices and principles in Education Abroad’s program development and by centering the Common Agenda in EA’s program content.

Previously, Kyle contributed to the field of international exchange by working on in-person and virtual exchange programs funded by the U.S. Department of State, including the Stevens Initiative, the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES), and other programs. A proud Terp, Kyle holds a M.Ed. in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. He obtained a certification in Diversity and Inclusion in International Education from Diversity Abroad in 2020. Kyle, originally from Kansas, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, a Critical Language Scholarship Recipient, and holds a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from Missouri Southern State University.
