Virtual Global Internships for Research and Practice-Based Learning at UC Chile

Masters and senior undergraduate students are invited to apply to one of three Virtual Global Internship (VGI) programs offered by the University of Maryland during Spring-Summer 2023, in partnership with the Universidad Catolica de Chile (UC Chile):

These virtual internships are part of UC Chile’s Global Research Program, which aims to enhance and stimulate global research collaboration, connecting researchers with students through new, creative, and innovative international research opportunities.

The Global Research Program is a virtual international experience program that supports research and creative projects at UC Chile and international partner universities within the Global Internships for Research and Practice-Based Learning framework. These opportunities are made available to UMD students through UMD’s Virtual Global Internships program, co-developed by the Office of International Affairs and various academic units.

VGI opportunities allow you to engage with international researchers and businesses, as well as UMD faculty and local business partners who work with international populations and complex global problems—while you work safely from home.

Interested students should submit their CV/resume, cover letter and unofficial transcript to KTripp@umd.edu no later than January 14, 2023. In your cover letter, please make sure to highlight your skills that are relevant to the project and detail how working on this project might support your career plans. Feel free to contact Dr. Tripp with any questions about VGIs.
